As we count down the days until we move house, I’m more or less banned from making anything — especially anything messy. It’s definitely put a limit on my usual upcycling projects! That said, last year I did manage to make a Christmas tree from driftwood the kids had collected, which felt like a small win.
This time around, it’s been all about the little things — perfect for making together with the children. We’ve stuck to some festive classics like paper chains, alongside a few more creative projects, including a sock-and-coffee-cup Santa and toilet roll reindeer.

My real love, though, is always working with wood. Nails, wool, and odd offcuts shaped into stars and trees are another festive favourite around here.

We also got a bit more adventurous by creating reindeer from branches, which turned out to be great fun.

Merry Christmas! What have you made with your kids this year?
