One of the annoying things about British houses is that the phone sockets are always in the hall. I fondly remember my childhood sat in a freezing hall calling friends. Thankfully we now have cordless phones and you can call people from the comfort of your sofa.
The problem is that the phone still needs plugged into that hall socket, and it also needs power. In addition to the phone we now have a wireless alarm, heating system, lights, and internet. Clearly there is not enough power sockets, so you need an adapter, before you know it you have a heap of wires, cables and mayhem slap bang in the middle of your hall. Very annoying.
My solution? A wicker cat dome thing. Light enough not to interfere with the signal. And we don’t have any cats.
