Reclaimed parquet oak wood corner shelves

We have a small single bedroom that doubles as an office. Space is at a premium so trying to get as many creative shelves up as possible makes sense.

I had some offcuts from my herringbone parquet dresser and decided to make them into corner shelves. Learning from the dresser, and still not willing to faff with removing the tar from the old parquet flooring, reclaimed from an Oxford College, I sourced some thin oak to glue over the tar . I edged it with oak, drilled angled oak supports and sanded.

Looks alright and a nice place for little ornaments. There are two either side of nxndjthe window.
