Another of my favourite things to upcycle are broomstick handles and scaffolding planks. The idea came to make a boot rack to try and keep our outside wear tidy. As you can see from the picture the boot rack was a success – keeping things tidy not so much, but perhaps that’s down to the owners!
The broomsticks were screwed in with a double-sided screw and were at different lengths for different types of footwear. They were painted a vibrant red to match a cupboard in the room.
