I was asked by a friend, with a wonderfully creative eye for detail, to help her with some wedding decorations. This was due to either my ability to bodge things together, or because she wanted to involve me! Either way, I was delighted and tasked with a making things for the cake table and the table plan. I was given strict instructions to make a support for a washing line (!?) but I wasn’t entirely sure what I was doing, or why, details were limited so as not to spoil the surprise! But thank god it worked out alright… I think.
Being me, there was a mixture of upcycling involved. An old fruit basket painted white and a log disk painted white to help display cakes, along with some shelves made out of pallet wood. The supports for the washing line table plan was made from scaffolding plank and broomstick handles.
