Child’s oak chair

I picked some lovely oak and returned home to plan. With my saw table I cut some small struts from the same wood I would use for the legs. The seat itself was a lovely piece of oak. The wood was sanded. Using a chisel I made holes for the struts in the legs and cut a corner out the seat.

With the pieces together it was time to assemble. Glue was applied and the jigsaw started. At that point my phone rang. With wife in hospital I had to stop mid glue. Nightmare. Especially as it was just my bored wife calling for a chat. Sadly it was hard to get the pieces to now glue together properly.

The finished chair isn’t bad for my first. But it was a lot of work for a very small piece of furniture! If might not be a pair.
